What is faith?

Faith can be an action of trusting or reliance on a person or thing which is not Biblical or Godly faith and this type will not forgive sin or make the person a redeemed beleiver. Biblical faith is having a trusting reliance on God and His revealed truths in the Bible. The object of this faith is the knowledge of God and His word and not an individual's contriving a thought or a having a hopeful attitude from ones imagination. The object of Godly faith is God and His word. Faith comes by hearing the word of God and if a person comes to God, God will draw near to them opening their understanding to Him and the Bible.

Whenever a believer refers to faith it is in conjunction with the Bible and trusting or relying on the truth spoken by God in the Bible.
There is a false faith relating to the understanding of God which comes from the foundation of sand. It is the trusting or reliance on a man made thought. The thought comes from the imagination of man and not the Bible. Just because a man may say he believes and he can do it does not make him right with the God who created him. This is a false faith - man can have faith but in the wrong object.

Faith which Brings us into the right relationship with God comes by God revealing Himself and the truths of His word, the Bible. God calls and pleads with sinful man to believe in Him. He reveals Himself through Jesus Christ, which comes through His word and He tell how a person can trust and rely on Him and in so doing find the answer to the emptiness and guilt we have. One finds forgiveness of sin - all sin. And finds that they are loved, and wanted by God and there is never a sin that can not be forgiven. They find purpose for their existence not just a propose for living here and now but for all eternity.

Faith finds its climax in the understanding of the full record of Jesus Christ and the work God did in Christ Jesus to bring about this faith which is eternal into the hearts of those who accept this truth; it is a solid belief and it will not fail. Not that death and sorrow will not exist here on earth but gives an eternal hope and comfort now which strengthens one through their life of troubles. When faith is exercised in our lives we receive eternal satisfaction of a relationship with the creator.

When the faith is rejected which comes from God through His revealed truth found in the Bible -  the only thing which awaits is the carrying out of the sentence given to Adam and Eve, which is the second death, the second death is carried out in the eternal Lake of fire. The order of man's existence is conception, birth, life, death then hell or heaven. Then comes the Great White Throne of God for those in Hell because they rejected the truth of the Bible and Jesus Christ when they lived here on earth. They will be thrown into the Lake of fire which burns forever. However those who receive the truth of God's word ( revealed in the Bible) and Jesus Christ by accepting Christ's work by faith for themselves go to heaven - to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord in heaven.
