Chapter 12    When Studying the Bible God's Word the Scripture
Try Asking Yourself These Questions as you study a Scriptural passage.

What is being said in the passage?
Who is it being said to historically?
Why was it written?
What dispensation setting is the history occurring?
What universal truth can I learn?
What truths only apply to that present historical setting?
How do I apply it in my life today?
Why am I applying it to my life today?
Can I apply it to my life today legitimately and why?
Who is responsible to be the stewards of the dispensation?
Where is the passage found and the setting in scripture?
How is God relating to the world at the time of the passage?
When was the passage written?
Who wrote the passage?
