Why Is The Blood Important?

bloodbar

Talking about blood is not a subject that we like to discuss because it can be gory.   We associate blood with negative feeling because it reminds us of death and trauma.   However there are times that we need to examine the issue weather with a doctor or with God.  Many people have discussed it with their doctor or trusted friend but have never discussed it with God or examined what He says about the importance of blood in relationship to eternal life and the forgiveness of sin.  The following is an attempted to help you examine this important topic!

Jesus Christ has paid the cost of your sin. But only those who accept His payment does forgiveness become theirs.   His sacrifice is your substitute and only eternal hope of forgiveness. Sin has to be paid.   Hebrews 9:22,  Ephesians 1:7, Rom.5:9, 1 Peter 1:18-9,   " Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  But with the precious blood of Christ,"  Salvation is not a process it is instantaneous. 1 John5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 " For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:".

My Commitment to Jesus Christ
'Born again - through the living and abiding Word of God" 1 Peter 1:23
Knowing I need the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior because I have sinned, I trust Him to forgive and pardon me from sin. I trust Him alone for deliverance from sin's guilt, power and penalty.  I give Him control of my life.  As He gives me strength, I shall seek to be a responsible growing member in His forever family.      (If you have made this commitment to God and received Jesus Christ as savior please write and I will send you some material to help you grow in your understanding.  E Mail - pastor@pestor.com

John1:12 "But as many as received Jesus Christ, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Romans 10:9-13 "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture says, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

1 John 5:9-14  "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hearths us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

Romans 4:7,8  "Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."

1 Peter 1:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

Grace to you and peace be multiplied. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

It is a tragedy when someone dies unsaved, and their unbelieving family members must stand before their casket and say goodbye with no hope of ever being reunited. The hearts of those families were scarred for a lifetime because they had no hope, no assurance, of ever being reunited again. Do not let this be your final testimony to your loved one.
